When Chaos Ensues

Have you ever noticed how some people just seem to attract chaos into their life?

No matter where they go, chaos ensues.

I bet you’re thinking of someone right now. Heck, maybe it’s even you.

What if I told you it’s not some sort of magical, mystical force that is making it happen. It’s also not G-d punishing you or the devil chasing after you.

What if I told you simply…it’s your fault.

Granted the word “fault” is a strong word to use, but I am going to use it anyway.

Here’s why.

I have known many people throughout the years who have lived a life of chaos. From broken relationships to misplaced keys, bad luck and nonstop accidents. No matter where they went a tornado pursued.

And yet, there were people in those same places and in similar situations who were seemingly in a completely different reality.

What happens though, is that we get so consumed in how things are going wrong and all we focus on is what is wrong. You’re running late to drop your kid off which means you’re going to be late for your appointment, and because of that you’re going to have to reschedule etc etc etc.

The world is falling apart.

STOP

Take two minutes. Breathe. Calm yourself down. Approach the task from a place of clear headedness.

I promise you, if you start living your life this way, things will get better.

Of course you’re going to say “you don’t know me. You don’t know my life.”

You’re right. I don’t.

But I know me. I know my life. I know what I’ve experienced. And I know what I’ve seen happen to so many others.

I promise you it works.

So next time you feel caught in the swirl of life’s chaos, stop for a second. Breathe. Step out of the swirl. Move forward with confidence.
